This nature insipred koi pond was seamlessly cut into the courtyard patio of this Rancho Santa Fe estate. Using flat slate on one side of the pond enables the homeowner to enjoy their pond and koi fish up close. San Diego Ponds came up with the concept and complete construction of this 15 by 10 foot koi pond. Brown and tan stone ranging in size from 12 -- 24 inches in diameter were used to give edge of pond a natural look along back side. Front edge of pond vanishes under existing concrete sidewalk. Same stone was used to create two cascades falling from 24 inches high and flowing into pond.
