Alain Pailley, cellar master at Champagne Alexandre Bonnet, makes some comments on the harvest 2009.Historically recognized for its initiatives on “plot by plot” work and for its research based on a better expression of the terroirs and the soils of Riceys, Alexandre Bonnet gained a strong international recognition. Its vines on steep slopes constitute the heart of its estate property in particular those located on the “La Forêt” area with full southern exposure on a kimmeridgian soil. Its pinot noir grapes have the reputation to give structure, roundness and a long finish to delightful wines.
